• Managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications.
• Regional Physician providing services mostly in Grand Rapids with some travel to Muskegon as needed.
• Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
• Assigned an MA, Sonographer and additional support staff at all offices.
• On call will be shared with MFM Partner / Medical Director mostly phone calls with hospital visits as needed.
• Patient Care : Provide specialized care for pregnant women with high-risk conditions and fetal complications.
• Consultations : Conduct consultations for obstetricians, offering expert advice on high-risk pregnancies, prenatal screening, and diagnostic testing.
• Ultrasound and Diagnostics : Perform advanced diagnostic techniques such as fetal ultrasound, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and other procedures as needed to assess fetal health.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks to maternal and fetal health, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients closely throughout their pregnancy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic counselors, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and potential risks to ensure informed decision-making.
• Engage in clinical research to advance maternal-fetal medicine, and potentially teach or mentor medical students, residents, or fellows.
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies and provide immediate care in cases of preterm labor, eclampsia, or other urgent complications.
