Women's Health Nurse Practitioner - NY Long Island

Overview

Unified Women's Healthcare is the leading national platform for women's healthcare. Our affiliated practice, Square Care Medical in East Setauket NY, is seeking an experienced OBGYN Nurse Practitioner.  Position will be 30 hours per week seeing OB and GYN patients in the clinic.  Candidates will only be considered that have at least two years experience working independently in an OBGYN clinic.

Position Highlights :

• No call requirements
• Weekday hours only ‐ one evening shift until 7 pm required
• Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history

Prescribe medications, therapies; order / perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures

Provide pre and post‐natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling

Requirements :

National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain

Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain

Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain

CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain

Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans

Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff

Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician

Two years of full‐time experience working as a WHNP required
