CDL A Driver

Career Start is currently seeking a CDL A Driver in Rochester, NY. To be considered for the position, preferred candidates will have a valid CDL Class A Driver's License with proven experience operating commercial vehicles. The CDL A Driver will be responsible for the transportation of materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites.

Shift : 6 / 6 : 30am to 5 : 30pm - overtime available if desired!

Pay of CDL A Driver :

25 / Hour Responsibilities of the CDL A Driver :

Operate CDL Class A vehicles such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and equipment transporters

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the vehicle

Safely load, secure, and unload materials and equipment, adhering to established procedures to prevent damage and ensure stability during transit.

Transport paving materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery according to project schedules.

Maintain communication with team members and supervisors to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise during transportation.

Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained, both inside and out, to present a professional image and ensure operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT regulations, vehicle weight limits, and hours of service requirements. Requirements of CDL A Driver :

Class A CDL Driver License - No Restrictions

Must be able to drive manual stick shift

6 months experience driving tractor trailer

Experience driving a dump truck preferred
