Shift : 12-hour in-house call, Clinic hours 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Start Date : February 2025

End Date : Ongoing

Position Details :

  • Patient Population : 100% adult, 25% geriatric
  • Setting : Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient Hospital Coverage
  • Call Ratio : 4 : 1
  • Patient Load : 15-20 per day (up to 30 during COVID spikes)
  • Pathology Includes : HIV, MRSA, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, septic joint, meningitis, diabetic foot infection, bacteremia, abscesses, and fungal infections
  • EMR System : Epic (Epic experience REQUIRED)
  • Support Staff : 3 physicians in the group
  • Responsibilities :

Cover both inpatient and outpatient infectious disease cases

  • Consultative practice in managing complex infectious diseases
  • Participation in infection prevention, infection control, and sepsis programs / committees as needed

    • Work Environment :

  • Community-based practice in a modern medical office building adjacent to the hospital
  • Collaborative and consultative practice, handling both routine and complex infectious disease cases

    • Submission Requirements :

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency - REQUIRED
  • Active Indiana License at the time of submission - REQUIRED
  • BLS Certification - REQUIRED
  • Local Provider within driving distance - PREFERRED
  • MUST be willing and available to cover BOTH inpatient and outpatient - REQUIRED

  • Payer Enrollment : 90-120 days
  • Hospital Privileges : 45-60 days
