Job Description Summary

Global Risk Management is looking for a seasoned, strategic, and influential leader to drive incident management responses by building and developing a best-in-class Enterprise Incident Response program. The Senior Director of Enterprise Incident Management will lead the First Line of Defense Incident Management function, ensuring timely, structured, and effective response of enterprise-wide impacted incidents across domains (Cybersecurity, Technology, Privacy, Fraud, Communications, Legal, Finance, etc). This role will report to a senior leader within the Risk Management organization’s First Line of Defense, and will provide executive leadership to support PayPal’s comprehensive risk management and compliance objectives. Global Risk Management is a high impact enablement function driving PayPal’s global success and is comprised of 1LOD Functions (Credit, Fraud Prevention, Financial Crimes / Anti-Money Laundering, Physical Security, Government Relations, and Functional Product Enablement) and 2LOD Oversight functions (Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Global Entity Management). PayPal serves hundreds of millions of consumers and tens of millions of Merchants around the world. Ensuring being ‘always on’ for them means effective and proactive identification of controls to mitigate issues that turn into incidents across our Technology, Business Operations, Partnership Ecosystems. When incidents do occur, having effective global coordination across Technology, Corporate Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Business Unit, Global Risk Management, Partnership, and Executive Teams is essential. Delivering on effective recovery coordination, regulatory impact assessment, partner engagement, and internal / external communications will further our Safety + Trust mission and mitigate reputation risk.

Responsibilities

  • Sets clear vision and priorities for business with outlook ranging over 1-3 years
  • Balances strategic overview with sharp execution
  • Identifies multiple strategies to accelerate progress and results
  • Liaises with stakeholders to meet common goals and helps overcome obstacles
  • Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise to coach, guide and influence toward process, policy, product, and organizational changes
  • Lead the design and execution of the strategic direction and execution of the Risk Operations Program
  • Engages organization with an inspiring vision of the business future

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience.

The total compensation for this practice may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
