Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering high-quality specimen collection services with professionalism, accuracy, and compassion. This role creates an atmosphere of trust, ensures proper specimen handling, and maintains a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment while adhering to strict procedures and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and proceduresExplain procedures clearly to patients while maintaining a calm, confident presenceMaintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environmentPerform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing dutiesVerify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures to confirm accurate labelingMaintain required records and documentationDemonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the publicPerform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor directionRepresent the company professionally whether stationed in a doctor's office, PSC, or other assigned locationsHandle multiple priorities in a high-volume environmentSupport staffing needs including weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and overtimeEnsure compliance with company policies, dress code, safety procedures, and confidentiality guidelinesTravel to multiple locations as needed, with reliable transportation requiredMaintain punctuality, full-shift availability, and consistent attendanceParticipate in training as assigned; training locations may varyRequired Experience :
2-3 years of phlebotomy experienceValid phlebotomy licenseExcellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric drawsAbility to produce accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong customer service and communication skillsReliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable)Ability to work flexible schedules across multiple locationsAbility to follow established procedures and exercise good judgmentNice-to-Have Experience :
Experience working in a multi-site healthcare or diagnostics environmentExperience in high-volume patient settingsRequired Skills :
