Senior Quality Engineer

CEIS | Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to lead construction quality assurance and control efforts on a critical DOE infrastructure project. This individual will support inspections, issue resolution, and standards compliance across a range of high-spec civil and structural work scopes in a heavily regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil / structural quality inspections across scopes including soils, concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, and protective coatings.
• Review, develop, and implement project inspection plans in alignment with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Identify, document, and track non-conformance items; issue corrective actions and follow up to resolution.
• Coordinate daily inspection schedules and engage proactively with field teams to maintain quality momentum.
• Support punch list tracking, in-house walkdowns, and turnover readiness in conjunction with site managers.
• Participate in lessons-learned evaluations, continuous improvement initiatives, and client QC recognition programs.
• Communicate clearly across disciplines to reinforce safety-conscious work environments and field-first quality.
