Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience; Level I trauma experience required

BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency healthcare environment

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions

Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals

Accurately document patient care and clinical observations in electronic health records

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patients and staff
