About The Position

📍 Location : Community Hospital – Massachusetts

🕓 Start Date : July 1, 2025

🕒 Shifts : 8–12 shifts / month; Day and Night shifts available (Nights prioritized for July start)

Immediate Dates Needed :

July 1 : 11p–8a

July 3, 5, 12 : 7p–7a

Ongoing coverage beginning June 2025 , with consistent 10–12 shifts / month starting in July .

Facility Highlights :

Annual Volume : 55,000

ED Beds : 44

Trauma Level : None (Community Hospital)

Fast Track : Yes – staffed by APPs (handles 40% of ED volume)

EMR : Epic

ED Group : 11 physicians (5 departing – open shifts)

Supervision Required : Yes – oversight of APPs

ED Responds to House Codes : Yes (ED team manages airway)

Admission Orders Written By : Hospitalists

On-Call Response Time Requirement : 30 minutes or less

Deliveries : Sent directly to Labor & Delivery

Transfers : To a regional referral facility ~20–30 minutes away

Available Support Services (24 / 7) :

Radiology (CT, MRI, X-ray)

Laboratory and AABB-certified blood bank

Operating Room and Anesthesia

Specialists : Radiology, Critical Care, Cardiology, Pulmonology, GI, Neurology, Urology, Hematology / Oncology, Psychiatry

Credentialing & Travel :

Job Requirements

Submission Requirements :

✅ Board Certified (ABEM or AOBEM) – OR – Board Eligible with 5 years of Emergency Medicine residency

✅ Active Massachusetts License – Required at time of name clear (no exceptions)

✅ Must be available for all specified July dates

✅ Specify shift preference (days, nights, or both)

✅ Conversion fee cap must be acknowledged at submission
