About Us

Stamps Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care center that provides health care and health education to students and their spouses / domestic partners. The center is located in a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility within the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building, next to our Campus Recreation Center. Stamps Health Services provides care in six areas : Primary care, women's health, Psychiatry, Travel / Immunization / Allergy, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Services (lab and radiology).

Job Summary

Perform phlebotomy and other simple procedures under the direction of licensed staff within Stamps Health Services (SHS), in accordance with SHS, Institute and state / federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients for lab processing
• Track, order and maintain inventory of specimen collection equipment
• Perform single laboratory testing
• Provide supporting clerical functions as needed to facilitate patient flow
• Performa other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Technical Diploma, associate degree, or two years college coursework or equivalent combination of education and experience

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certified

Two to three years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant and / or Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
