Position Overview :
The Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking a Program and Project Specialist to support the Bureau of Vital Records within the Director's Office. This role involves performing quality assurance, data analysis, and administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance in vital records management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of vital records.
- Perform birth-death matching and verification of records.
- Review, analyze, and research data from reports provided by the CDC and National Center for Health Statistics.
- Utilize electronic systems to research and verify information.
- Draft professional emails and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and external partners (hospitals, funeral homes, counties).
- Assist with vault duties, including pulling certificates, conducting no-record searches, and updating records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Education : Minimum of some college coursework.Experience : Experienced non-manager level.Skills :Strong computer and phone skills.
Cashiering and reconciliation experience.Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Preferred Skills :Data analysis experience.
Fingerprint Clearance Card.Additional Requirements :Must pass background check and drug screening via HireRight.
