Position Summary Fordham University seeks a dynamic leader to serve as its inaugural Associate Vice President (AVP) for Enrollment Marketing, responsible for shaping and elevating the University’s efforts to attract, engage, and enroll students. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Marketing and Communications, the AVP will develop and implement a data-informed marketing and communications strategy focused on undergraduate enrollment growth and supporting select graduate and professional programs. The AVP will lead the development of enrollment funnel campaigns, ensuring the University’s brand is expressed with clarity, creativity, and authenticity. The ideal candidate is strategic, fluent in modern enrollment marketing practices, with expertise in digital marketing channels such as CRM, marketing automation (experience with Slate and Salesforce preferred), SEO / SEM, social media, email marketing, paid media, and content marketing. This role requires operational rigor, agility, and the ability to manage complex initiatives and teams effectively. The AVP will oversee a cross-functional team responsible for digital and traditional marketing, content, creative development, and brand stewardship. The role involves driving measurable results, fostering a culture of innovation, and serving as a hands-on leader in daily operations. This position is key in shaping Fordham’s future, advancing strategic priorities, and amplifying its reputation and enrollment outcomes. Essential Functions Develops and implements a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy focused on undergraduate enrollment and supporting graduate programs. Aligns marketing initiatives with the University’s strategic priorities and brand platform. Leads the creation and execution of annual marketing plans with clear objectives and metrics. Collaborates with various departments to ensure cohesive marketing efforts. Brand Development & Messaging Ensures consistent application of Fordham’s brand identity across marketing touchpoints. Creates compelling messaging that highlights the University’s value propositions. Manages digital presence supporting enrollment marketing, including owned and paid channels. Team Leadership & Management Leads and develops a team of marketing professionals. Conducts performance evaluations and professional development. Manages relationships with marketing agencies and vendors. Oversees budget, personnel, and technology management. Data Analysis & Performance Measurement Uses analytics and research to assess campaign effectiveness. Monitors KPIs and adjusts strategies accordingly. Prepares reports for senior leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. At least 10 years of leadership experience in enrollment or growth marketing, preferably in higher education. Proven success in developing and exceeding enrollment marketing goals. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Deep understanding of population sets, data protocols, and complex data sets. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and salary range from $190,000 to $220,000. Salary is commensurate with experience. This is not a union position.
