Risk Management Consultant Engineer

As a new Risk Management Consultant Engineer, you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey over your first 12 months, gaining valuable risk engineering and consulting skills alongside our experienced mentors. At FM, you have the chance to utilize your engineering expertise and analytical skills to assist clients in identifying and mitigating potential risks to their facilities and operations, including hazards from fire, explosions, equipment breakdowns, flooding, winds, and other perils. Your role will evolve to assess risks at larger, more complex properties by conducting site evaluations at client facilities. Responsibilities include :

• Performing hands-on site assessments of physical properties by touring facility interiors, roofs, and exteriors.
• Evaluating water supplies and fire protection systems, dust hazards, electrical systems, chemical storage and processing, structural designs, construction materials, site maintenance, and emergency response programs.
• Ensuring compliance with FM Engineering Standards and communicating appropriate recommendations or engineering solutions to clients.
• Supporting and assisting clients as they implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Working remotely from a home office and traveling to client facilities regularly (overnight travel expected 3-5 nights per month, or around 15-25%).
