Job descriptionCompetitive Salary : $275,000 - $350,000 Generous Paid Time Off : 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays. Retirement Benefits : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by VA. Chief of Psychiatry Key Responsibilities (Supervisory position) :
- Typical shift M-F, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm; Night, Weekend, Holiday call by rotation
- Some travel required to our Community Based Outpatient Clinics
- Evaluate and manage patients admitted to mental health inpatient service, and outpatient clinics including performing history and physical examinations.
- Provide coverage to evaluate and manage mental health veterans in the local area Emergency Department, and consultation liaison service as needed.
- Write prescriptions including controlled medications, order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic
- Provides patient education of medical / mental health conditions, preventive measures and prescribed treatments.
- Relocation / recruitment incentives may be approved for highly qualified candidates
