License : Pending license accepted; must obtain before starting.

Certifications : BLS required.

Must-Have :

Must be comfortable with a high patient ratio (1 : 44).

Must have LTC experience.

Description :

This position involves working in a long-term care setting.

The nurse will be responsible for caring for a geriatric population including patients with dementia, heart disease, and chronic renal failure.

Candidates must provide care for various patient needs including ambulation, feeding tube care, and hemodialysis management.

The nursing ratios for this position are 1 nurse to 44 patients.

Weekend shifts may be required as needed.

All requested time off must be included in the initial submission; requests after submission will not be considered.

The facility has an attendance policy for travelers, and excessive missed shifts can result in contract cancellation.

Testing will be conducted at orientation including a cardiac dysrhythmia test which must be passed on the first attempt.

Experience with specific charting systems is preferred, but not mandatory.

The role also requires interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy.

Candidates should prepare for a demanding work environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
