Job Title : Phlebotomist I

Location : The Villages, FL

Duration : 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension and conversion based upon performance)

Shift : Mon-Fri 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM with rotational Saturday

Job Description :

The Phlebotomist I serves as the face of our organization, providing compassionate and professional service to patients during routine health visits or critical diagnostic procedures. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The Phlebotomist I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, uphold confidentiality standards, and deliver excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures using aseptic techniques.
• Label and document specimens accurately with patient information and collection time.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory or prepare them for courier pickup.
• Assist patients who experience adverse reactions during or after blood collection.
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system.
• Order and stock phlebotomy supplies as needed.
