Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our successful clinic. Schedule are 8AM to 6 : 30PM / Monday through Thursday. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities

A licensed NY State Veterinary Technician who loves working with animals

An independent worker

Applies knowledge of drawing blood, and catheter placement minimizing patient discomfort.

Monitoring animals during surgery, keeping accurate records in surgery including drug sheet and anesthesia log.

Performs necessary diagnostics such as radiology and CT.

Monitor post-surgical patients

Take vital signs and administer medications

Fill medications, complete at-home dosage and discharge instructions for clients

Maintain and order inventory items

Qualifications

2 Year Minimum of Veterinary Technician Experience

Knowledge of animal care and handling

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment

Patience and a love for animals
