Summary : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst. In this role, the Financial Analyst FA will report to the Manager of the Cell Biology Finance Team. The FA is responsible for the monitoring and review of all financial activities and grants management oversight as related to their Principal Investigator Portfolio. This includes but is not limited to sponsored projects management preparation and distribution of financial portfolios for investigators effort review and reporting budget and subcontract preparation and set up and preparation and closeout of grant accounts. The FA will also be responsible for ad hoc projects.
Job Responsibilities
Daily financial management of all grant accounts. Prepare financial portfolios for investigators (financial summary and detailed financial statements with projections). Prepare project budgets for newly awarded grants, new budget periods, and subcontract arrangements. Reallocate and process personnel effort onto and off grant accounts. Review time and effort allocation with all grant related personnel and assist with effort certification. Assist with progress report submissions (verification of effort and budget for new budget period). Assist investigators with all sponsor audits / questions, process and documentation. Facilitate financial closeout of grant accounts to sponsors.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination Superior communication skills both written and verbal Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications
The Financial Analyst will have a comprehensive understanding of research administration with In depth knowledge of Uniform Guidance and other research regulatory requirements specifically the Uniform Administrative Requirements Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards Experience with PeopleSoft preferred Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
