As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys — all from your home.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor 1-on-1 online sessions with students, adapting to individual learning styles.
  • Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely; no commuting required.
  • Collaborate with students to meet learning goals and leverage tools like the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for preparation and engagement when available.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and you can be paid up to twice per week.
  • Get matched with students best suited to your teaching style and subject expertise.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Creative Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience, and graduate-level education is advantageous.
