Job Summary and Qualifications
As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will :
Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.Attend deliveries, perform stabilization assessments of newborns, and assist transport teams as needed.Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies.Communicate changes in patient status to the Nurse Practitioner or Neonatologist.Provide education and support to families regarding home care and resources.Execute high-risk delivery procedures and assist in neonatal resuscitation.Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff as appropriate.Qualifications :
Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN); experience in acute care settings preferred.Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Current State of Texas RN license or Compact Registered Nursing License; must secure Texas license within 90 days if using a Compact License.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification necessary.Preferred : RNC-NIC certification and S.T.A.B.L.E.
