  • The Business Development Rep will identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and follow-up on marketing leads. Responsibilities include scheduling Executive meetings, working within an assigned territory, collaborating with sales partners, Demand Gen, and Client Support to engage existing clients, acquire new clients, qualify marketing leads, and potentially attend industry events. The BDR is expected to exceed KPI targets, meet annual quotas, and foster long-term client relationships.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :

    Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities

  • Actively prospect for new clients (outbound calls), follow up on marketing leads, and manage initial engagement to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Design and implement solutions for short-term client needs and collaborate on developing long-term strategic visions for clients and prospects.
  • Support Sales Activities and Appointment Management

  • Schedule and coordinate Executive meetings with decision makers, ensuring alignment with internal teams and optimizing opportunities for client engagement.
  • Review calls and meetings for learning and improvement insights
  • Manage and Grow Existing Client Relationships

  • Engage with existing clients through Client Success qualified leads, promote upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and contribute to long-lasting client partnerships.
  • Documentation and Data Integrity

  • Record all activities in SalesForce with detailed documentation maintaining data integrity
  • Achieve and Document KPI and Quota Targets

  • Meet or exceed KPI targets and annual sales quotas, ensuring that all activities and pipeline developments are accurately documented in Salesforce.
  • Participate in Industry Events

  • Attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Relias solutions and expanding the professional network within the industry
  • Other Duties as Assigned

  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support business objectives.

  • Initiative : ability and willingness to take independent action, show proactive behavior, and drive progress without being explicitly instructed or directed
  • Data Literacy : Ability to read, write and communicate data into context
  • Interpersonal Relationships : ability to establish and maintain positive and productive connections with others, encompassing the skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary to build rapport, communicate effectively, collaborate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
  • YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE :

  • 2+ years business development / sales experience with a documented record of accomplishment of success
  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT :

    Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days / quarter.
