Job descriptionWork 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Full-time position with blocked scheduling potentially available Every other weekend requirement No on-call responsibilities Nurse to patient ratio of 5 : 1 to 6 : 1 depending on staffing Float per facility standards as needed Care for cardiac and telemetry patients (not stepdown unit) Required certifications : BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA RN license in state of employment or compact required 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire Complete preceptorship with designated trained staff member Successfully complete organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation Complete all annual competency verification requirements Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide patient / family education Temp to perm opportunity available Referral bonus
