Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for patients with complex medical conditions. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and hemodynamic stability; intervene promptly for abnormal findings. Administer and titrate intravenous medications, including cardiac drips, insulin, and other critical medications per physician orders. Manage telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, disease processes, and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures. Participate in rapid response and code situations as required. Serve as a preceptor or mentor for new nurses and assist in unit quality improvement initiatives.
