TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

Pay Information

$3,116 per week

About The Position

Job Title : RN

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Shift : Varied Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 36.00

Experience :

  • Minimum of two years current experience in a 12-plus bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit required.
  • Pediatric experience and travel experience are required.
  • Pediatric CVICU experience is a plus.
  • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

License :

  • State Nursing License (or Compact State License) required.

    • Certifications :

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • BLS and PALS must be completed through an accredited organization.

    • Must-Have :

  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience required.
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.

    • Description :

  • Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required.
  • Ratios are 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 for holding pediatric or SAC status patients.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
  • Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
  • Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
  • Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
  • Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.
  • Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.
  • Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.
  • Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
  • Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
