Job descriptionProvide direct patient care for assigned patients. Perform all technical aspects of dialysis treatments as prescribed. Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters and patient condition. Report any significant patient changes or equipment problems to supervisor. Assist in patient / family education regarding dialysis therapy, diet, and medications. Administer intravenous medications as ordered. Perform and document pre-, interim-, and post-treatment reviews of patient condition. Respond to emergency situations, including initiating CPR if needed. Safely operate dialysis equipment and perform minor troubleshooting. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment area. Participate in staff meetings and care plan meetings. Support and mentor other staff as needed. Regularly involves heavy lifting, moving patients, and assisting with ambulation. Frequent standing and bending required. May need to move machines / equipment up to 200 lbs. with assistance. May lift chemical / water solutions up to 30 lbs. to a height of 5 feet. Exposure to healthcare environment and infectious materials. Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN). Current state licensure. At least 1 year of dialysis LPN / LVN experience within the last 2 years. Current CPR certification. Ability to provide coverage at other facilities if needed. Must pass Ishihara Color Blindness test (reasonable accommodation may be considered). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Referral bonus
