Job Role : COBOL System Admin

Job Location : Remote

Duration : Long term contract

Rate : only on w2

Key responsibilities :

Work with Vendor and coordinate to get the new version of umbrella software implemented in PNC

Work with different infrastructure teams within PNC to ensure that the new software works within PNC

Do necessary updates to Coding in assembler and COBOL in the system software delivered to customize it to PNC.

Report daily / weekly on progress to Manager.

Work with wider PNC Application teams on any issues reported in the Umbrella software - new and old.

Plan implementation and do implementation of software in lower and prod environments.

Must have technical skills / experience (ask for alternative / tool / version) :

Atleast 5+ years of experience as a core system programmer in Umbrella preferably supporting IDS product

Strong Experience in Assembler language programming.

Experience leading and working through an umbrella upgrade.

Experience in integrating and working with CICS + UMBRELLA integration

Should be able to work with VSAM databases in Hogan

Should have used Endevor as SCM

Flex Skills :

Application programming in IDS / CIS, CICS system programming, ACF2 security config experience

Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role :

Strong analytical skills, effective communication both written and verbal, should be able to work and coordinate with multiple teams and also with vendor, good presentation skills.

Equivalent work experience - no degree / certifications required

Years of experience : 5-7 years
