Job Description

The Senior Level Security Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing comprehensive security operations across multiple sites or a large-scale facility. This leadership role requires extensive security management experience, strategic planning capabilities, and the ability to develop and implement sophisticated security protocols to protect assets, personnel, and information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the entire security department, including personnel management, budget planning, and resource allocation
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Lead security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other external security agencies
  • Manage emergency response planning and crisis management protocols
  • Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Provide strategic security guidance to executive leadership
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents, implementing corrective actions
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop security management team members
  • Maintain detailed security records and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
  • Stay current with evolving security threats, technologies, and best practices

Required Experience / Skills

  • 4–5 years of progressive security management experience
  • 2+ years in senior security leadership positions
  • Advanced certification in security management (CPP, PSP, or equivalent)
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security systems, technologies, and integration
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs
  • Strong background in security risk assessment and threat analysis
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing large security teams
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with security budgeting and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of relevant security regulations and compliance requirements
  • Nice-to-Haves

  • Military, law enforcement, or government security background
  • Experience in relevant industry sector (corporate, healthcare, education, etc.)
  • Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity principles
  • Background in executive protection or high-value asset security
  • Experience with security in multinational or global organizations
