• Duties :
• ED physician responds to a code on med surg if one is called, which is not often.
• Do not round anywhere other than on their ED patients in ED dept.
• Will admit to hospital but via our Hospitalist.
• Do not write admission orders but they do call the Hospitalist & the Hospitalist makes the decision whether to admit.
• Beds in the Dept : 12

• Will see many of the same things as larger hospitals except less volumes.
• ED physician is the only physician in the hospital often and always at night.
