Job description

About the Role :

Position : Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic

Location : Phoenix AZ 85027(On-site)

Job Type : Full-time

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. This role requires completing all maintenance activities in alignment with company procedures and all applicable regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform maintenance in accordance with technical data including maintenance manuals parts catalogs engineering drawings service bulletins and airworthiness directives.

Maintain strong teamwork skills and effective interpersonal communication.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Maintain knowledge of federal regulations particularly Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.

Ensure work areas remain clean organized and compliant with safety standards.

Work various shifts as required based on operational needs.

Education :

Valid Airframe & Powerplant certification at the time of hire.

Ability to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hire.

Experience :

Minimum of three recent consecutive years of General Aviation (GA) experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.

Experience with Piper aircraft preferred.

Familiarity with G1000 avionics is a plus.

Skills & Abilities :

Ability to work independently and make sound airworthiness decisions.

Strong workflow management skills with the ability to adjust priorities as needed.

Proficient in troubleshooting inspecting repairing and maintaining aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data.

Capable of completing logbook entries and returning aircraft to service.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn maintenance software (e.g. Talon RMS).

Equipment & Tools :

Use of common office equipment (computers copiers fax machines).

Operation of company vehicles including vans trucks golf carts and aircraft support equipment.

Regular use of various shop tools and mechanical equipment.

Exposure to solvents aviation fuel and related materials.

Physical & Safety Requirements :

Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Frequent exposure to aircraft simulators and mechanical equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Periods of prolonged sitting standing bending and stooping may be required.

Strong attention to detail.

Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to stay productive without direction.

Flexible and adaptable to changing operational priorities in a fast-paced flight training environment.
