Hospice Director of Clinical Services

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospice Director of Clinical Services to lead our hospice care team. This pivotal role focuses on managing clinical operations to provide exceptional patient care, ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies, and sustain fiscal health. Your expertise in hospice care and leadership will guide our dedicated team in offering support and peace to patients in their final stages of life. Salary : $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all aspects of hospice clinical operations, ensuring a compassionate and professional delivery of services.
  • Supervise, orient, mentor, and evaluate all patient care staff to foster a skilled and cohesive team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all agency policies, as well as state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Actively participate in talent acquisition and retention to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Manage and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
  • Develop and monitor the annual branch budget, manage expenditures to ensure financial stability.
  • Partner with clinical resources to manage patient intake, inquiries, and needs assessments.

Minimum Position Qualifications :

  • Graduate degree in Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state.
  • Minimum of three to five years of hospice experience.
  • At least one year of experience in hospice clinical management.
  • Proven understanding of hospice philosophy, pain management, and end-of-life care needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Advanced certification or training in hospice care or palliative medicine.
  • Previous experience in a multi-facility oversight role.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of improving patient care and staff development.
  • Familiarity with Home Health Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
  • Skills :

  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance and healthcare laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse individuals.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
