About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• 1 year in specialty experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in ICU / Trauma.

License :

WV or Compact RN License required (pending license acceptable).

Certifications :

BLS

ACLS

Fit Test

CPI (CPI can be obtained upon request)

TNCC preferred

Must-Have :

Background in PCU, IMC, Trauma, or Stepdown.

Skills in IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, and conscious sedation.

Experience managing multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients.

Description :

This position is for a registered nurse specializing in PCU.

You will be working in a trauma stepdown unit.

The unit provides an intermediate level of care for trauma patients.

The patient ratios are 1 : 5 for floor RN and 1 : 3 for stepdown unit.

The role involves being part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in trauma, PCU, or IMC.

Nurses will be responsible for telemetry monitoring and patient management.

Floating may occur within the scope of practice to meet the facility's needs.

Open to accommodating requests for blocked schedules.

Every other weekend coverage is required.

Special procedures may be performed in this unit.

Skill requirements include active management of critical drips and care for various medical devices.

Candidates must meet all compliance and documentation requirements prior to start.

Flu vaccine is required unless a medical exemption is provided.

COVID-19 vaccination is not required.

This is a short-term acute care facility.
