ICU RN Job Details – Potsdam, NY

Location : Potsdam, NY 13676 (New York healthcare jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Mixed Acuity Unit (ICU, PCU, MS Tele, Stepdown)

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36 or 48 (based on RN preference)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2020-$2080

Patient Ratios : Nights 1 : 3-6

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Float Requirement : Yes, to sister units (West 2, West 3, Observation)

Charting System : EPIC (clinical documentation)

Orientation : 12 hours

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active NY RN license (must be in hand to submit)

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU / IMC or ICU experience within the last 3 years

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred

Experience with EPIC charting system

Ability to float to sister units as needed

Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from facility

First-time travel RNs welcome

Solid color scrubs required

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a mixed acuity ICU / PCU / MS Telemetry setting

Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, surgical, trauma, and medical diagnoses

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and insulin drips, and administer blood products

Perform wound care, tracheostomy management, feeding tube care, and continuous bladder irrigation

Start and maintain IVs, manage central / PICC / peripheral lines, and care for ventilated patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services

Float to sister units as needed to support patient care

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
