Position Summary
Victra is hiring a Director of Investigations and Sales Audit to lead internal casework and store-level transaction oversight. This role focuses on reducing fraud, improving cash controls, and ensuring accurate reconciliation across 1,500+ locations.
You’ll lead a team responsible for investigating theft and operational loss while managing key processes tied to deposits, refunds, and exceptions. This role brings together field execution and financial accuracy to reduce risk and drive accountability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Field Investigations and Risk Mitigation
- Own the execution of internal investigations related to theft, fraud, and operational violations
- Ensure cases are initiated, documented, and resolved consistently and in line with company policy
- Provide Regional Asset Protection Managers (RAPMs) with investigative tools, training, and real-time support
- Maintain the company’s investigative framework, including escalation protocols, timelines, and tracking
- Analyze trends, exception data, and field intel to identify risk and proactively drive resolution
Cash Handling and Transactional Oversight
Partner on Victra’s daily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactions using ReconNet and related toolsSupport and assist in driving visibility into cash handling and deposit accuracy by working across platforms such as DTS Connex, ReconNet, and Oracle Cash ManagementMonitor exceptions and unresolved discrepancies to identify gaps in cash controls or policy adherenceReview and support resolution of general ledger variances tied to store-level activity in partnership with AccountingCollaborate with business partners to ensure timely, actionable reporting of financial and operational risksProcess Improvement and Field Support
Lead initiatives to improve smart safe usage, armored car performance, and deposit compliancePartner with Store Operations and RAPMs to strengthen field processes related to both investigations and cashSupport new store setup on all aspects of drawer funding, payment workflows, and financial system readinessIdentify recurring issues and implement solutions that drive operational consistency and reduce exposureTeam Leadership and Enterprise Alignment
Lead and develop a team of 10–15 professionals across investigations, reconciliation, and field supportProvide coaching, performance feedback, and career development for direct reportsRepresent Asset Protection and Financial Operations in key projects involving controls, compliance, or technology upgradesQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Criminal Justice, or a related field10+ years of combined experience in Asset Protection, Investigations, Operations, or Retail Finance5+ years leading teams in a multi-location retail environmentExperience using tools such as ReconNet, DTS Connex, and Oracle Cash ManagementProven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, deliver measurable results, and manage sensitive situations with discretionCertifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or CFI (Certified Forensic Interviewer) preferredWhy Join Us?
