Key Responsibilities :
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and other company-owned equipment, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles, focusing on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
Repair vehicles and equipment as needed to maintain safety and reliability, addressing Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly.
Diagnose issues and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications, including work on engines, transmissions, clutches, drivelines, and electrical systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; CDL preferred but not required.
Experience : 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or a combination of 2 years of education and 1 year of experience.
Certifications : ASE certifications in automotive or medium / heavy-duty trucks; Annual Inspector Certification; Brake Inspector Certification; 609 HVAC certification; working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software.
