Samaritan Pacific was recently renovated adding an 86,000 square foot, three-story building which includes a new 17-bed emergency department. The patient population is a good mix of interesting pathology and standard Emergency Medicine presentations. The surrounding medical centers provide fast and reliable consulting services and our transport services make getting patients to other facilities quite smooth.

The hospital is a community-based 25-bed critical access hospital, which serves residents and tourists of Depoe Bay, Newport, Toledo, Waldport and Yachats. The current hospital CEO was an EM physician and is supportive of the ED.

Samaritan Pacific has many resources for a critical access hospital including : 24 / 7 onsite hospitalists, 24 / 7 gen surgery and OB coverage, ultrasound 24 / 7, robust MRI availability on site, 12 hours / day APC ED coverage, Lifeflight transport services, Telestroke support, and local county mental health coverage.

You will be working alongside experienced staff physicians and advanced practice clinicians. You can greatly perfect the skills you already possess and learn new skills and procedures, as those learning opportunities are vast. You will have the ability to evaluate and treat a wide variety of patients and illnesses in a positive environment of physician support.

In Samaritan Pacific's 17-bed emergency department, you will have the privilege of caring for 18,000 patients annually and documenting with Epic.
