We are partnering with a rapidly growing Series A healthcare AI company that’s transforming how medical systems operate. Backed by premier investors including YC and General Catalyst, the company has raised $14M and is solving some of the most complex operational challenges in American healthcare using cutting-edge AI. Their flagship platform streamlines prior authorization workflows by analyzing EHR data, accelerating patient access to care, and improving provider revenue.

Despite being early-stage, the company has already signed enterprise contracts with major U.S. health systems and is scaling quickly. They are looking for mission-driven engineers who are eager to make a meaningful impact in healthcare using modern machine learning and language models.

What You Will Do

Design and develop LLM-powered pipelines to process various medical documents, including handwritten clinical notes.

Build production-ready question-answering systems that extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured patient data.

Create ML solutions that automate integrations between EHR platforms and other healthcare infrastructure systems.

Own ML features from research and experimentation to scalable deployment in real-world healthcare environments.

Collaborate cross-functionally with the product and engineering teams to align machine learning solutions with business goals.

Continuously iterate on and improve ML models, pipelines, and infrastructure to ensure performance and scalability.

Ideal Candidate Background

5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning systems.

Strong expertise in training and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), beyond basic API use.

Deep understanding of ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Proven success in roles at companies with mature ML environments (e.g., FAANG, AI startups, or top-tier ML-focused orgs).

Prior work in document processing, information extraction, or question-answering systems.

Preferred

MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent industry research and production experience.

Exposure to fast-paced startup environments with small, collaborative teams.

Contributions to ML research or publications are a plus, but not required.

Experience in healthcare tech or working with EHR data is a bonus.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary : $140,000 - $240,000

Equity : 0.2% - 0.8% stock options

Visa Sponsorship : H1B transfers supported

Work Schedule : Full onsite presence (5 days / week), working west coast hours
