IBT develops services to meet those needs and partners with many state and federal programs to make services accessible to all families with children with autism. We provide in-home services to teach children in the natural environment. We are seeking a Supportive Home Care Provider in the Emporia, Kansas area to provide short-term care for a child, offering relief to the primary caregiver. Prior experience with autism is not required, as each treatment plan is tailored to the individual child's and family's needs. If this sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities Work with children and adolescents with special needs, demonstrating enthusiasm, flexibility, and a strong desire to help. Provide one-on-one assistance, including support with daily living tasks, social and recreational activities, and developing adaptive skills to promote independence and community involvement. Support patients with housekeeping, laundry, shopping, meal preparation, and errands. Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Follow individualized behavior intervention plans. Must have a high school diploma, not live with the individual receiving care, and complete mandated training. Possess valid ID, reliable transportation, and maintain auto insurance. Pass criminal background checks as required by funding sources. Participate in training and learning activities, including attending sessions, reading relevant materials, and conducting research as part of the treatment team. Donate two hours per month to IBT activities if interested.
