Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)

Healthcare Setting : Primary Care Clinic – Ithaca Mall Family Medicine

Shift : Day shifts, 5x8 hours (typically 7 : 30 am – 5 : 30 pm; some rotation based on staffing needs)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : June 9, 2025

End Date : September 8, 2025

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2210 - $2370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse – New York)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred

Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide nurse triage calls and comprehensive patient assessments

Room patients and prepare them for provider visits in a primary care environment

Administer injections and support nurse visits, including blood pressure checks

Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care

Deliver compassionate support and patient education to individuals and families
