Job Summary

• This is a part-time (.75 FTE) 30 hours a week benefited position.

The Student Union / Student Services Center Community Service Officer reports to the Police Lieutenant. The Community Service Officer (CSO) is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors. They conduct visible patrols within and around the perimeter of the Student Union and Student Services Center. The CSO also acts as a liaison between the University Police Department (UPD) and Student Union / Student Services Center management as well as establishes positive relationships with students and staff.

A valid driver's license is required for this position. Out of state candidates selected for the position must obtain a State of California driver's license within 10 days of hire in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles regulations.

Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for California State University campuses.

CSU Salary Range : $3,680 / month - $5,310 / month
