Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the company’s customer base and revenue.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers across various industries, including medical supplies and equipment, construction and construction supplies, HVAC, and technology.
  • Conduct in-person customer visits to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and establish trust.
  • Proactively research and target potential customers within the final-mile and expedited delivery markets.
  • Present and effectively communicate Now Courier’s services and value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing updates to leadership as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and logistics, to ensure seamless service delivery for new and existing customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no employee supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty according to the requirements of NOW Courier.   • 5 years of proven sales experience
  • Connections within the Indiana market and a track record of selling in Indiana
  • Expertise in New Business Development and Business Planning
  • Strong Sales and Account Management skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving proficiency
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets
  • Experience in the courier, logistics, or transportation industry is a plus
  • Education and / or Experience : Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. / B.A.) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; and five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a sales, account executive, or business development role is required. Prior experience in the courier, logistics, or transportation industry is a plus.

    This job operates primarily in a professional office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. However, job duties may require one to operate in a warehouse environment with moderate safety / health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This role is required to be on-site.

    While the offices of NOW Courier are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job may require work beyond these hours and on the weekends.
