Procurement Engineer

Job Title : Procurement Engineer Location : Oak Ridge, Tennessee Type : Direct Hire Contractor Work Model : Onsite System One is seeking a Procurement Engineer to support our customer in developing Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and Equipment Qualification (EQ) plans. This role will focus on procurement engineering, process improvement, and technical support within a nuclear and startup-style environment. Responsibilities : Develop and execute CGD and EQ plans in accordance with industry standards Lead sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment, and contractor services Develop and approve procedures in compliance with NRC and DOE requirements Collaborate with engineering, quality, and facility teams to ensure compliance and efficiency Support process improvement and reverse engineering initiatives Ensure technical accuracy and documentation for procurement deliverables Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in nuclear, facility, environmental, or quality engineering preferred Knowledge of electronics / electrical systems a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Personal Attributes : Accountable and detail-oriented Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams Adaptable and driven in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions : Moderate physical activity (handling up to 40 lbs, standing / walking for extended periods) Some exposure to typical industrial or lab environments System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
