Position Title : Clinician III - Therapist

Reports to : Clinical Director of Counseling - Youth

Job Classification : Full time; exempt

Salary Range : $57,900 - $77,100 annually

At multiple locations throughout our community, we help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.

The Opportunity :

The Clinician III - Therapist provides individual and educational / group counseling hours for the programs at The Crossing.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

  • Schedules and completes all weekly sessions of an assigned caseload of approximately 25 individuals / families in the New Life and Bridge Transitional Programs.
  • Facilitates assigned weekly group education sessions.
  • Completes assigned assessments for individuals and families in the New Life Program (NLP) and Bridge Transitional and Youth programs.
  • Plans for and co-facilitates educational / process groups (approximately 2-5 hours per week).
  • Provides one-on-one milieu counseling as necessary in addition to assigned caseload.
  • Provides supervision for Denver Rescue Mission clinicians as assigned.
  • Develops appropriate, measurable Treatment Plans for assigned caseload.
  • Collaborates with Care Team and associated staff, providing strategy for clients' mental and emotional stability. Follows-up on Information Reports for clientele.
  • Ensures proper documentation and ethical guidelines set forth by Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Requirements

Minimal Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in counseling or a helping field of study.
  • Registered with DORA as a licensed psychotherapist.
  • Ability to obtain malpractice insurance at time of hire.
  • Prior experience required in individual, family or group counseling – preferably with populations who have experienced homelessness, addictive behavior and general family challenges.
  • Quality social and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have a clinical philosophy, take initiative, multi-task, and work with a diverse clientele.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire date.
  • Active Driver's License as a limited amount of work-related travel may be required.
  • Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith and Apostles Creed, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
