Job description

The Outer Banks Health Hospital is seeking a physician to provide locums coverage for their established hospitalist team. New providers will need to arrive the day before their first shift for orientation. Provider must be comfortable with EKG interpretation and the interpretation of ABGs.

Dates Needed : 7a-7p

Details :

Hospital Medicine experience is required
1 year inpatient experience preferred
Applicants must have a North Carolina DEA.
Applicants must have ACLS certification from the American Heart Associated

Job Highlights :

Privileges at The Outer Banks Health Hospital

19-bed critical access hospital with general med-surg beds

Locums will provide care for admitted patients and evaluate patients in the ED for admission

Average inpatient census : 12-15

Average number of admissions per day : 5-6

No ICU

Provider will need to respond to codes

Clinical responsibilities include admissions, rounding, inpatient care, and preparing patients for discharge
