Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial reporting by overseeing the preparation and submission of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and other applicable bodies.
• Develop and sustain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure integrity of financial reporting; conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Provide detailed financial analysis, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to senior management and the board of directors.
• Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process, addressing findings and maintaining strong auditor relationships.
• Identify and manage financial risks related to compliance and reporting, devising strategies to mitigate them.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
• Communicate financial reporting and compliance matters to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and senior management.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems, leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.
• Oversee financial system maintenance and upgrades in collaboration with IT and other departments.
• Reconcile accounts, address discrepancies promptly, and prepare accurate financial reports for regulatory compliance.
• Support budget management by preparing and monitoring the company budget, providing analysis for decision‑making.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
