• Position Summary

The

• Correctional Officer
• is responsible for maintaining safety, order, and security at the
• Norton Correctional Facility
• . Officers supervise offenders, enforce facility rules, prevent disturbances, and respond to emergencies to ensure a secure and controlled environment for staff, inmates, and visitors.
• Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor offenders
• in living quarters, dining areas, classrooms, work details, and recreational spaces
• Maintain discipline and control
• , enforcing rules and behavioral expectations
• Escort offenders
• within the facility and offsite as necessary
• Conduct inmate counts, pat-downs, and area searches
• to prevent contraband or escape attempts
• Observe, document, and report behavioral changes or security concerns
• Counsel offenders

• Patrol facility interior and perimeter
