Laboratory Director (Saranac Lake)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Laboratory Director to lead clinical and anatomic pathology services. This role is essential in supporting patient care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest quality standards across laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and oversee all functions within the clinical and anatomic pathology departments.
• Establish and maintain laboratory policies, standards, procedures, and staffing plans in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• Ensure full compliance with NYSDOH and CAP accreditation requirements.
• Develop and manage the departments annual budget with oversight of expenditures and revenue.
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate laboratory staff to support ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Introduce new technologies and testing capabilities as appropriate to improve efficiency and expand services.
