Job descriptionProcesses and tests blood and other body fluid specimens for the clinical laboratory Reviews test results and applies the correct clinical interpretation of that data Reports lab results accurately and responsively, to include use of a laboratory information system Performs operation, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy and ensures specimen integrity as necessary. Under the direction of the Medical Directors and management staff, provides state of the art laboratory specimen testing, including phlebotomy, from neonates to geriatric patients ensuring patient safety. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
