Wake Forest School of Medicine's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of orthopedic problems, educating the next Orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons and researching advanced treatments. With over 25 academic locations, 3 research laboratories, 90 faculty, 2 residencies and 9 fellowships we have a wide range of clinical, educational and research complements.

Our subspecialty Orthopaedic surgeons provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to patients. Interdepartmental consultation across 10 subspecialties and a strong commitment to research and teaching keep the department at the forefront of new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic and rehabilitation problems.

Highlights

• Location : Position is held in a busy subspeciality orthopaedic practice in High Point, North Carolina with potential additional locations to be mutually determined.
• Clinical Focus : Total joint replacements with a strong focus on routine and complex arthroplasty. The selected individual will be actively involved in both inpatient and outpatient clinical duties with education and research opportunities available.
• Teaching Opportunities : Engage in orthopedic resident and fellow teaching, as well as participate in clinical and laboratory research if interested.
• Collaboration : Current department of 90 total faculty includes 6 arthroplasty faculty.
• Call Expectations : Call expectations in alignment with other orthopaedic surgeons not to exceed 4-6 nights per month general orthopaedic call at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center.
• Support : APP & Clinical Support

• Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
