Intern, Logistics & Performance Analysis
The Intern, Logistics & Performance Analysis will improve communication, coordination, and efficiency between HGMA and GLOVIS, focusing on logistics operations. The intern's objective is to enhance GLOVIS operations through actionable insights, process improvements, and strong collaboration with port processors and carriers. The position will also develop plans to elevate logistics performance, aligning with both short-range and long-range goals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for optimizing processes.
Major Responsibilities :
- Act as the liaison between HGMA, GLOVIS, MOBIS, Port Processors, and Carriers on all logistics and wholesale-related matters.
- Effectively communicate HGMA's objectives to the relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as sales, production, or procurement.
- Develop reporting and analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide responsive and accurate ad hoc reporting and analysis upon request.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Supply Chain Optimization Project
Analyze and identify bottlenecks within the supply chain, coordinating with stakeholders (HGMA, GLOVIS, MOBIS) to implement efficiency improvements.Develop strategies to optimize transportation routes and distribution channels to reduce cost and delivery time.Data-Driven Reporting Initiative
Work on creating automated dashboards for real-time logistics data tracking, covering key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, cost-per-mile, and inventory turnover.Collaborate with the analytics team to develop ad hoc reporting capabilities for quick decision-making support.Logistics Process Improvement
Conduct process mapping and analysis sessions with Port Processors and Carriers to streamline handover points and reduce redundancies.Implement process changes and document outcomes to provide measurable improvements in turnaround time and accuracy.Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with the Sales, Production, and Procurement teams to align logistics activities with their operational requirements.Work with these teams on joint projects, such as synchronizing production schedules with logistics timelines to improve inventory flow.Wholesale Program Support
Assist in analyzing wholesale logistics data to support decision-making for volume forecasting, storage needs, and fulfillment strategy adjustments.Provide analytical insights and prepare reports to present findings and recommendations to senior management.Additional Notes :

Must be a high school graduateCurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in a related functional fieldSkills / Knowledge :
Prior experience in distribution and logistics, preferably with a major automotive importer.Regional distribution experience with the same is a plus.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.Database program proficiency is highly desirable.Experience with SAP, CAARS, AS400, and the ability to create various queries in these systems is a strong plus.Knowledge and familiarity with SharePoint for monitoring damaged units is beneficial.Common sense, strong follow-up skills, self-motivated, and the ability to work effectively with and motivate people, including vendor staff and HGMA co-workers.
