RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details :

• Work on a 36-bed medical / surgical telemetry unit in the South Tower
• Patient ratio of 1 : 6
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 7 nurses, 3 PCT, 1 US; Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, 3 PCT
• Unit huddle begins at 6 : 45 AM and 6 : 45 PM
• Multidisciplinary rounds at 10 : 00 AM
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Must have patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Required to perform medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and EHR proficiency
• Typical procedures include IV starts, Foley insertion, NG tube insertion, staple removal, continuous bladder irrigation
• Provide pre and post-op care, vital sign monitoring, wound care and dressing changes
• Work with equipment including computer on wheels, EKG machines, defibrillators, telemetry monitors, tube feeding pumps, suction regulators, vital sign machines
• Use Medi-tech EMR system
• Medical / Surgical and IMU experience preferred
• Must be a team player with strong adaptability skills
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
• May float to medical / surgical overflow areas
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
